2018
I took a two month travel break after graduation to visit China and get in touch with my ancestry. I learned a lot about the Song Dynasty and its blossoming art and poetry in Hangzhou and Suzhou. Taiwan had its own unique history and as I traveled further south, I got invited to walk on fire for a New Years Celebration at a minority village in the mountains. I visited the dojo and now shrine of Ip Man (Jet Li’s teacher), and then flew to the west of China, where many of the minorities lived. I trekked into the holy mountains near Tibet and ended my trip laughing at pandas at the Conservatory in Chengdu.

2015
When I was working in France, I also visited Strasbourg, Colmar, Brussels, Amsterdam, Luxembourg, and Paris for several weekends, visiting the Louvre multiple times.
I backpacked solo across Europe for two months, couchsurfing and meeting up with climbers as I went along. I started in Nancy, France, where I worked for six months, and headed down south with some French friends to boulder. Then headed off on an adventure.

Burning Man
After Gdansk, I flew in to San Francisco. I had gotten a Burning Man Ticket earlier in March and met up with some orphan burners for the week. I didn’t take too many pictures – some are taken from online professional sites. But the desert itself was incredible. The dryness of the air made the sunrises something to behold. And the art and the people made it a surreal, incredible experience.
