In-House Excel Calculator for Acoustic Regulations (2018)

Designed an in-house Residential Site Survey (RSS) calculator in Excel based on ISO 15712 Part 3 from scratch. Custom transmission loss data of walls, windows, doors and roof based on standards were saved as libraries in the file, accessible as hidden excel sheets. The calculator had input options of up to three facades and two possible noise sources (road and airplane). The output another excel sheet with a graph and automatically generated one page word report that could be copy-pasted into our larger engineering report.

Digital Signal Processing Software to Hardware Project (2015)

Development of a sound level meter (SLM) from scratch, using two microphones and an aquisition system. Object orientated C# software written from scratch for sound analysis of open plan work spaces. Multiple modules and functions including noise filters, Fast Fourier Transform to change sound pressure in space-time to frequency, and Hanning windows for continuous, simultaneous input systems of two microphones. Automatic measurement analysis based on sound echo was implemented from previous lab work.
